How to enter a slash

Feb 9, 2011 at 12:57 PM

Hi,

I have some difficulty using slashes in another purpose that italic formatting.
That is the case with SFC / SCANNOW where the slash disappears.
Have you encountered similar problems?

I am not able to repro the problem... can you try with the latest version and then open the debug window and then post a sample into one of the sandbox forums... the click the "copy to clipboard" button and past the logged messages here...

The initial problem seems to have disappeared.
On the other hand, the tags "/" and line feeds do not appear to be taken into account.

As it is stated in the documentation:

http://communitybridge.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Markup%20Guide

You must enclose the italic strings with "/" and use *no* space after the leading "/" and no space before the terminating "/"!

So the following should word:
/This is italic/
This is /italic/

Also it will only support multiple lines, if you *do not* add an manual line break.

OK, I agree

My specific case uses a "/" in the text like

SFC /SCANNOW

I suppose that it is not possible to put all the text in italic using this syntax

/SFC /SCANNOW/

Maybe, that should be

/SFC/ //SCANNOW/

Yes.. either you write:

/SFC/ //SCANNOW/
or
/SFC / SCANNOW/ (but this has a different meaning...

I agree with the first one
